DO I NEED A MEMBERSHIP IF I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE?

- Yes. Most insurance companies do not pay 100% of total ambulance charges. Your membership includes a 25% discount on out-of-pocket payment amounts that are not paid by your primary or secondary insurance provider. Co-payment amounts typically cost between $100.00 - $350.00 or more per ambulance transport. Members will be responsible for any amounts applied to their annual insurance deductible.

- Keep in mind that non-members are responsible for full payment of all applicable charges, which often can exceed $800.00 per trip.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY MEMBERSHIP?

- The following services ARE NOT covered by your membership. However, McGonigle Ambulance will provide discounted rates for our members, when possible.

1.) Alternative modes of non-emergency transportation, such as wheelchair van.

2.) Non-emergency ambulance transports, which may be denied or deemed outside the limits of your insurance coverage.

3.) Transports which do not meet medical necessity criteria.

4.) Any charges related to excessive mileage or other non-covered charges for transports, which are based sole/y on patient and/or physician preference.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY INSURANCE COMPANY SENDS ME A CHECK FOR PAYMENT OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY MCGONIGLE AMBULANCE?

- All recipients of service are required to immediately forward any and all reimbursement received to McGonigle Ambulance Service. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your membership agreement and you will be held responsible for payment of all outstanding balances.

HOW WILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY BE BILLED FOR MY SERVICES?

- In the event that you use our ambulance service, McGonigle Ambulance Service will submit a bill to your insurance company. Insurance payments are then applied to your balance.
